AIEAA has recently established a best paper award to honour the memory of Ornella Wanda Maietta, who passed away on April 18th 2019. Ornella, a brilliant economist well-known for her outstanding contributions to the study of farm efficiency and the role of research in agriculture, has been a member of the Association since AIEAA foundation effectively contributing to the development of the Association and Bio-Based and Applied Economics, AIEAA’s official journal.
The first edition of the O.W. Maietta award took place on the occasion of the 8th AIEAA Conference held in Pistoia.
AIEAA is pleased to announce that the Scientific Committee awarded Dr. Luca Tiberti, Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics, Laval University, Quebec City, for his paper “Fertility after the drought: Theory and evidence from Madagascar”.
