Dear colleagues,
First of all, we hope and wish that all of you and your families are fine and healthy.
As you know, on June 11-12 we have planned the 2020 AIEAA conference in Bari, also attached to the annual assembly and elections for the renewal of the president and board.
In recent weeks we have obviously reflected on how to reconsider our program for AIEAA 2020 in the light of the coronavirus emergency.
After a careful analysis of all the possible alternatives, the AIEAA Board and the Local Organising and Programme Committees from Bari have agreed to organise the Annual Conference online, in an adjusted format during the same days already scheduled.
Obviously, this does not fully replace the option of a conference in which you participate in person, as we all know. Furthermore, AIEAA reiterates its willingness to organise a conference in Puglia, in ways that we will evaluate as soon as we know how the coronavirus crisis develops.
In the meantime, it seemed to us that this solution, followed by many other associations, safeguards at least the strictly scientific part of the planned activities, also in recognition of all the authors who have proposed contributions.

In the next steps we will inform the contributors and consult them about the organisation of presentations.
